Most people we talk to about Croatia actually know very little. They’ve usually visited Plitvice Lakes or Krka (Skradinski Buk). Some are hikers who have climbed the peaks of Velebit, Biokovo, or Dinara, but mentions of Bijela, Mačkov Kamen, or Štrbački Buk are usually met with puzzled looks.
This website is not just another hiking portal. While you will find hiking routes here, our primary goal is to promote exceptional locations that are not yet well-known to the general public. We also provide a critical overview of some more famous spots.
We have tried, in the simplest form possible, to present everything we find essential when planning a trip: description and photos, exact driving directions (car access), map with the plotted route, essential trail information.
Currently, trails can be filtered by difficulty and region, and the site will be continuously improved. For easier navigation, we have placed a Map of Croatia at the bottom of the homepage and article lists, with links to all posts.
We currently feature over 200 locations, a number that grows weekly. Our wish is to share our experiences with all occasional nature lovers who might be short on time but have plenty of goodwill.

Although our focus is on Croatia, due to great interest in reviewing some international locations from our travels, we decided to launch the Special section. In it, we will not cover locations in the same detailed way we do with Croatian ones, but will instead provide a brief overview of multiple locations grouped into meaningful categories. The only criterion we still strictly follow is that they must be natural attractions.
