The Source of the Grab River
It could be said that the little river Grab flows into itself. Specifically, one kilometre from its source, Grab splits into two branches, both of which flow into the river Ruda. So it turns out that Grab flows into its own waters, the ones Ruda had received a kilometre upstream.

The Sinj region abounds in beautiful nature and locations ideal for excursions, and Grab is one of its true gems. The old houses, the rivers, the waterfalls and the surrounding nature are stunning, especially in spring and summer when everything turns green. We have been here on several occasions, and this time we dropped by in the middle of winter, when nature is at its least flattering. Even so, Grab is a place worth visiting — stopping by the watermills and walking along the river all the way to its source. The path is easy and flat, and even if you leave the car in the middle of the village, the source is no more than a kilometre away.
Coming from Trilj, to reach the source of Grab, you should turn off the main road at the first turning, right just before the bridge. After 160 m turn again, this time left across the bridge, and after the bridge continue to the right, some 400 m upstream. That brings you to a spot along the riverside road where there is a widening suitable for parking. You could drive a bit further, but it would be a shame not to cover the next section on foot.
Along the way you pass a fish farm and numerous watermills, some of which are still in operation and where you can buy locally milled flour. One example are the Samardžić watermills, located in the village (43.64373252330321, 16.76512187982453), not far from where we parked.
It is also well worth dropping by the watermills just past the fish farm, alongside which runs an interesting pedestrian stone bridge. You reach them through a private courtyard, and the owners will gladly let you through. All around, ducks and geese roam freely. The location of these watermills is here 43.64124312741708, 16.76756348060036.

Once you leave the last stretch of asphalt behind, the source is not much further and you reach it quickly along a well-trodden forest path. Around the source you will find information boards with interesting facts.
With an easy walk and a visit to the watermills, time passes quickly, making this destination ideal for spending a whole morning.

Specijal
